Concacaf Champions Cup Details

Previously known as the Concacaf Champions League (2008-2023) and the Champions’ Cup (1962-2008), the Concacaf Champions Cup is a continental club tournament featuring clubs from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Qualification for the Champions Cup is based on merit; teams may qualify for the Champions Cup via performance in their domestic league, their domestic cup or a regional competition.

This season, Concacaf has expanded the tournament to include 27 teams. The Concacaf Champions Cup is a knockout tournament. All knockout matchups follow a home-and-away format and are decided over two “legs” — with one match played at each team’s home stadium. The exception is the final, which will happen on June 2, 2024. The winner of the Concacaf Champions Cup will qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025.
